What started out as a simple trip to the swimming pool in Sagbayan Peak turned out to be quite a scenic excursion! We saw some of the most magnificent natural scenery we have ever seen in Bohol (or anywhere else for that matter)!

After a nice swim at Sagbayan Peak we decided to go home a different way. Between Sagbayan, which is in the low mountains, and Clarin, which is on the coast, is a beautiful wayside park with a splendid overlook of the ocean. From the park where we ate lunch, is a view of Cebu Island, and even of the City of Cebu itself.

Coming down the mountain and passing through the towns of Clarin and Tubigon, which is the major seaport from Bohol to Cebu, and Calape, we decided to take a side excursion to a small island near Loon called Sandingan. We were glad we did. It was a picturesque island with down-home people living on it. On the bridge to the island were dozens of hand-painted interesting and funny signs on the concrete barricades.

"Are you darkness? Since you came, I can see no one else." |
"Because of your braveness, you fought so hard for the wrong person."
|
"I wish I were a mosquito so that I could bite you." |
|
"Don't compare me to anyone else. They are different. I am yummy." |
Before coming back through Maribojoc along the coast, we stopped at an overlook we had heard about that has unparalleled views of the ocean. It was absolutely magnificent!
That' nice that Lyn is finally catching up to you in height!
